Country Med Group is the oldest long-established Medical Centre in the entire Cootamundra Region proudly looking after the community for over 45 years and has served people of this region over several generations.
Whatever the need, we are here for our community 7 days a week including weekends as our Doctors are locally settled and living in Cootamundra permanently.
We offer a close and personalised health care experience. We are able to offer many services to our patients depending on their needs.
Apart of having well experienced Lady Doctors, we have a friendly and dedicated team.
We also provide Allied Health services which are all Bulk Billed including 2 in-house highly experienced psychologist and 1 Audiologist. Moreover, we are actively working in bringing more Doctors & Allied health services in Cootamundra.
It is very important to seek professional advice if you are having any problems with your health. No cash or drugs of dependence are kept on the premises

Non-attendance Fee

Non-attendance of a booked consultation with less than 24hrs notice of cancelation will incur a non-attendance fee of $30.00, which will be payable before another appointment is made. If you are running late please advise reception via phone ASAP. Note: Failure to attend three or more appointments will result in NO further appointments being made for you.

Accounts

Accounts for EMERGENCY CONSULTATIONS can be organised for a single appointment but must be paid in full prior to any further appointments being attended

Weekends

WEEKEND CONSULTATIONS WILL INCUR AN ADDITIONAL $10 FEE

Wound Care

Standard wound care $10.00 per visit to assist with the cost of dressings Complex wound care $20.00 per visit to assist with the cost of dressings Wounds requiring advanced clinical treatment - Costs will be discussed with the patient prior to the commencement of treatment.

Waiting Times:

At our practice we endeavour to keep to appointment schedules, sometimes the doctor/nurses may have an emergency. This can affect waiting times, we apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for being patient

Telephone Access to a Doctor of Nurse:

Our practice policy for phone access to a doctor or nurse is that you leave a message with reception and at the end of the day they will return your call. If the matter is Urgent the reception staff will send the doctor/nurse a message marked URGENT and they will get back to you as soon as possible.

Home Visits:

Home visits are for seriously ill patients and need to be booked in advance and previously discussed with your GP. Please ask our receptionist if you would like the doctor to do a home visit.

Appointments

When making your appointment please advise reception if you have paperwork that needs to be completed or a specific type of appointment. Our reception staff are trained in triage and will book appointments according to clinical need. Appointments can also be made via the ‘Book Now’ button on our website, please see reception for any assistance with setting up the app on your phone

Choice of Doctor

You may request to see the doctor of your choice, however for continuity of medical treatment we encourage you to see the same doctor on each occasion when available.

Multiple Patients

Please advise our reception staff if more than one family member intends to see the doctor as we will need to reserve additional time for you.

Longer Appointments

Longer appointments are available for complex issues upon request

Emergency Consultations

We do try to have some emergency spots available each day and attempt to accommodate all urgent cases. However, your usual doctor may not be available.

Test Results

For test results that your GP has ordered, please make an appointment to discuss your results. Privacy issues prevent over the phone discussions of results.
